Hi, I'm Amelia.
I create new and exciting partnership opportunities for Tiger Global. This means talking with organisations about their sustainability goals & challenges and exploring how we can help. I love being around people and working on innovative solutions to make products and processes more sustainable.
When I'm not working, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors and live for long walks. Unfortunately, as the evenings get shorter, my binge-worthy TV sessions are definitely getting longer (thanks, Ru Paul).
Name a product that you use every day?
A colleague recently recommended trying Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee, and I'm hooked! The 'Think' blend contains coffee with Lion's Mane and Chaga mushrooms and gives you all the uplifting benefits of a good brew without the crash. Best of all, the coffee is Fair Trade and organic.
Tell us about your all-time favourite product?
I'm not particularly loyal to products and am always looking for better alternatives, so this one is hard. However, one brand I always return to for quality clothing is Reformation. Last year I got married in the Camelina Dress made from recycled silk. The style is timeless, and I will continue wearing it for many years to come.
What’s been the best sustainable innovation you’ve come across this year?
It has to be Circ, who are revolutionising the way clothing is recycled and made into new garments. Circ technology takes the most commonly used but hard to recycle fabric blends (such as cotton-polyester mix) and uses hydrothermal processing to recover 90% of the original materials.
I am most excited by this technology because it provides a tangible and scalable solution to substantially reduce the textile industry's reliance on virgin materials and, in turn, reduce a whole load of negative impact on the planet.
And lastly, the most important question of all. What's your go-to meal deal?
Living in central London, I'm never more than a stone's throw away from Pret. My go-to lunch is a Chefs Chicken Salad and the Jambon-Beurre.
